Jeff Smith: Technology reporter Beat: Telecommunications, cable, satellite TV I’m a Denver native who received an English degree from the University of Colorado and took master’s degree coursework in journalism at the University of Missouri. I’ve worked for daily newspapers in Alabama, New Mexico and Maine. I also worked as a national reporter and editor for three years in Cambodia from 1997-2000, at a nonprofit newspaper aimed at strengthening the free press and helping train Cambodian journalists. I believe in holding companies and governments accountable, while also striving to be an accurate, fair and balanced journalist. I’m also interested in reporting about cutting-edge technologies and the entrepreneurs behind the ideas. Started at the Rocky Mountain News: November 2000
