Crooks shot a motorist and carjacked his SUV early Wednesday morning in Adams County.
The unidentified male driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and deputies recovered his Chevrolet Suburban, but two suspects escaped, said Adams County sheriff's Sgt. Candi Baker.
Deputies were dispatched about 2 a.m. to reports of a gunshot victim in the 7500 block of Broadway. They found the wounded man, who said two suspects stole his Suburban.
Deputies spotted the SUV in the area and gave chase, Baker said. The Suburban was abandoned near 70th Avenue and Avrum Street and a suspect fled on foot.
