Published February 26, 2009 at 7 p.m.

Our long national nightmare might not be over, but at least it's looking like concert season again. Denver favorite Rise Against returns to Red Rocks on June 11, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $35 in an all general-admission show. Punk stalwart Rancid is also on the bill.

Also on the Rocks: David Byrne and DeVotchKa, June 20, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. today ($55 to $69.50). Leonard Cohen brings his first tour in 15 years to Red Rocks on June 2, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Monday ($49 to $250, though $150 VIP packages are on sale now). Both at Ticketmaster.

We usually don't do shows in other towns, but Elton John's solo shows in Laramie and Colorado Springs are of note. The April 3 Laramie show is a benefit for the Matthew Shepard Foundation, a cause he embraced after the young man was slain in a hate crime. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at bargain prices: $35, $65 and $85. The show is at the Arena Auditorium at the University of Wyoming. Go to WyomingAthletics.com. He plays the next day, April 4, in the relatively intimate World Arena in Colorado Springs, with prices at $67, $87 and $127, on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday (TicketsWest).

* Fiddler's Green: True to her word, Gwen Stefani has rejoined No Doubt for a reunion tour, including May 27 at Fiddler's. Tickets don't go on sale till 10 a.m. on March 7 ($10 to $70, Ticketmaster).

* Ogden Theatre: Stephen Stills brings his solo tour to town on April 12, with tickets on sale today at 10 a.m. ($35). * Fillmore Auditorium: Twiztid plays on May 12, with tickets ($20) on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through LiveNation.com and the Fillmore box office. Disturbed has added a second show on March 26, on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($45).

Rumors and hearsay: The Airborne Toxic Event show at the Bluebird Theater was postponed to April 15 because of illness and moved to the Ogden. Bluebird tickets will be honored at the door.
