Gwinavere G. "GG" Johnston will replace her mother, Gwin Johnston, as the head of JohnstonWells Public Relations.
Gwin Johnston founded JohnstonWells 37 years ago, growing it into Denver's largest public relations firm with 19 employees. She plans to remain active in the company as owner and chairwoman of the board.
GG Johnston, who joined Johnston Wells 15 years ago and most recently served as president and COO, said she doesn't plan major changes when she takes over.
"After 37 years of watching Gwin lead the firm and help shape the industry, I know I have some big shoes to fill," said GG Johnston, 44.
Gwin Johnston, 66, serves on the boards of directors for the Altitude Research Center at the University of Colorado, Two Percent Club and the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences.
