End of Nuggets' trip near; Melo, Martin might sit

— Finally nearing an end to their eight-game trip, the Nuggets are limping to the finish line.

The Nuggets could be without starting forwards Carmelo Anthony and Kenyon Martin when they conclude their trip, against the Milwaukee Bucks. Martin is questionable because of back spasms that kept him out of the second half of a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Friday night.

Anthony, slowed by a bone bruise just below his left knee, will be a game-time decision.

The Nuggets are 5-2 on their trip. After Sunday, they return home to close out the month with games against Boston, Atlanta and the Los Angeles Lakers.

If Anthony and Martin cannot play, it will be interesting to see how coach George Karl alters his rotation.

Chris Andersen started the second half in place of Martin on Friday, but Karl could turn to Renaldo Balkman instead if he prefers Andersen’s energy off the bench.

Linas Kleiza likely would be the option to start in place of Anthony at small forward.
