KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs announced Tuesday that offensive coordinator Chan Gailey and several other coaches have been either retained or hired, but would not say what their roles will be.

The additions include Gary Gibbs, who has been defensive coordinator at New Orleans the past three years and is a former head coach at Oklahoma. Also joining the Chiefs is Bill Muir, the offensive coordinator/offensive line coach for Tampa Bay the past seven seasons.

A team spokesman said general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Todd Haley were both unavailable for comment. The spokesman said details of the coaches' duties would be announced later.

The new coaches also include Joel Collier, Pat Perles, Steve Hoffman, Clancy Pendergast and Dedric Ward.

Besides Gailey, those retained were Bob Bicknell, Joe D'Alessandris, Tim Krumrie, Brent Salazar and Cedric Smith.
