If you're in west Denver or up in the foothills, grab a stool at the Morrison Holiday Bar -- or "The Local Cure," as neighborhood tipplers know it -- and sample the creations of two of their longtime 'tenders, Jole Long and Joe Mulhern.

You won't regret trying Long's Almond Roy:

* 1 part Malibu rum

* 1 part Godiva

* 1 part hazelnut liqueur

* A splash of Baileys

Long recommends that it be chilled and shaken and says it's "great as a shot or as a drink."

Or, if you're feeling fruity, Mulhern suggests a sip of his Joe Berry, which consists of equal parts:

* Stolichnaya Razberi

* Stolichnaya Blakberi

* Stolichnaya Ohranj

* cranberry juice

* orange juice

* And a splash of Sprite

You can't go wrong either way. Order one of each - or two or three, if you have a designated driver - and enjoy the place's year-round outdoor patio, no-cover live music from Thursdays to Saturdays and Sunday night karaoke.
