Top five: Sara T
Published November 20, 2008 at 3 p.m.
Sara T.'s Danceotron club night is a high sign to Denver's in-the-know types to find their booty shorts - especially since she's been living the high life in the City of Angels and hasn't been around quite as much. But that's all set to change Saturday, because she's taking over the Hi-Dive (7 S. Broadway) for their Fifth Anniversary Weekend party. What might you expect? Besides a floor full of sweaty young Denverites, that is? We'll allow the DJ herself to tease out a few possibilities. Here are Five Cuts That Sara T. Might Drop On You Saturday:
1 CLP - Dip Shawty featuring Kovas (S***katapult)
"Chris de Luca (ex-Funkstorung) & Carsten Aermes (Phon.o) come together to create a thick beat party track with the vocal talents of Kova who is known for his 'ghetto beat' stylings."
2 Bugati Force - Lookout Weekend (Exploited)
"Bugati Force is straight from Berlin taking the Debbie Deb's Lookout Weekend and throwing it forward into the 21st century."
3 Cobra Krames - Work That -----(Flamin Hotz Records)
4 Boy 8 Bit - The Cricket Scores (Mad Decent)
5 Anonymous - U Fine (Top Billin) "From Finland's label Top Billin, Anonymous delivers a very sick '90s House throwback. The vinyl also comes in bubblegum color which ain't so bad, ay?
Sara T.'s Danceotron kicks off the Hi-Dive's Fifth Anniversary Weekend Party at 9 p.m. Saturday. Cover is $5, 21 and older only. Check out Sara T.'s upcoming schedule online at myspace.com/saratea.
