Meet the All-Colorado football offense

BACKS, RECEIVERS
Tommy Flanagan, Bear Creek
* Pos.: RB * Ht: 5-9 * Wt: 195
* Extra points: Flanagan finishes his stellar four-year career as the Rocky's Class 5A offensive player of the year. He has been All-Colorado the past two seasons, as well as his league's most valuable player twice, and has earned all-state honors for four seasons. He rushed for 1,351 yards, an 8.9-yard average (4,270 career), and scored 19 touchdowns and had 957 receiving yards (2,794 career) and 11 touchdowns.
* Favorite NFL player: Terrell Davis.
* Colleges considered: Chadron State, Eastern Washington, Nebraska-Kearney, Montana, South Dakota.
Ryan Hewitt, Mullen
* Pos.: TE * Ht: 6-4 * Wt: 220
* Extra points: Not only was Hewitt an outstanding blocker for Mullen running backs Josh Ford and Adonis Ameen-Moore, but he led the 5A state champions with 34 catches for 476 yards and four touchdowns. He caught at least one pass in each game. He is a two-year All-Centennial League selection for the Mustangs on the football field and also excels in basketball.

Scott Kellogg, Chatfield
* Pos.: WR * Ht: 5-10 * Wt: 165
* Extra points: The swift Chargers wideout was Class 5A's leading receiver this season and third overall in the state with 68 receptions for 987 yards. He had a 14.5-yard per-catch average and had only one game in which he caught fewer than four passes. His best game was 11 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-16 victory against Lakewood.
* Favorite NFL player: Steve Smith.
* Colleges considered: Colorado State, Nebraska-Kearney, Northern Colorado.
Josh Morton, Poudre
* Pos.: RB * Ht: 6-0 * Wt: 190
* Extra points: Morton was Class 5A's leading rusher (third overall) with 2,349 yards and 28 touchdowns for the 10-3 Impalas. He rushed for more than 200 yards in seven games and was held to fewer than 100 only twice. A second-team all-state pick last season, his top effort was 256 yards against Mountain Range. Morton finished his career with 3,870 rushing yards. He also is an all-league performer in track.

* Colleges considered: Colorado State, Montana State, New Mexico, Northern Colorado, Northern Illinois.
Bryan Peters, Rocky Mountain
* Pos.: QB * Ht: 6-2 * Wt: 185
* Extra points: Peters proved he was adept at passing and rushing while leading the Lobos to a 10-1 record. He was intercepted only twice while throwing for 2,569 yards and 31 touchdowns with a 61 percent completion average. A part-time defensive back, he also rushed for an additional 956 yards and scored four times on the ground, all in his first year at the position. Peters was selected the state's player of the year by Gatorade. He was also an All-Colorado selection in baseball.
* Favorite NFL player: Brandon Marshall.
* College: Nebraska (baseball).
Jacob Stewart, Rocky Mountain
* Pos.: WR * Ht: 6-2 * Wt: 195
* Extra points: Stewart makes the All-Colorado team for the second consecutive season after finishing with 60 receptions for 945 yards. He closed his career with 2,392 receiving yards and a 21.2-yard per catch average. His top game this season was seven receptions for 196 yards in a 34-24 victory against Horizon. He also was an All-Colorado selection in baseball.
* Favorite NFL player: Ted Ginn, Jr.
* College: Stanford (baseball).
LINEMEN
Jack Harris, Chaparral
* Pos.: OL * Ht: 6-7 * Wt: 275
* Extra points: Given his height and speed, Harris could be the right fit for Colorado when it comes to pass protection. He is a three-year all-league selection, and he helped the Wolverines to an 8-3 record. He graded out the highest on his team on the offensive line.
* Favorite NFL player: Undecided.
* College: Colorado.
Donny Haupt, Pomona
* Pos.: OL * Ht: 6-1 * Wt: 235
* Extra points: Haupt is one of the state's finest all-around athletes. He has been all-league the past two seasons in football and is a tenacious blocker. He uses his speed and agility to his advantage and is one of the state's best wrestlers. Haupt finished fourth last season at 215 pounds with a 30-10 record and is ranked No. 2 in the state by On The Mat.
* Favorite NFL player: Nate Webster.
* Colleges considered: Northern Colorado, Colorado State-Pueblo, Colorado, Colorado State.
Ryan Lockwood, Pine Creek
* Pos.: OL * Ht: 6-2 * Wt: 220
* Extra points: Lockwood was strong on both sides of the football for the Eagles but makes the elite squad on the offensive line after fronting one of 4A's leading ground games. He is a two-time all-league selection and also came through this season with two fumble recoveries and an interception on defense. Lockwood also is a state qualifier in wrestling and placed sixth in 4A last season at 215 pounds.
* Favorite NFL players: Olin Kreutz and Mario Williams.
* Colleges considered: Indiana, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado.
Taylor Paxton, Cherry Creek
* Pos.: OL * Ht: 6-5 * Wt: 260
* Extra points: Big and strong with quick feet and agility, Paxton's efforts were key in leading the Bruins to the 5A championship game. He also was strong on both sides of the football. On defense, Paxton played at end. He also is a two-time letterman in track, excelling in the shot put and discus.
* Favorite NFL players: Matt Lepsis and Jeff Saturday.
* College: Northwestern.
Jeremiah Sirles, Bear Creek
* Pos.: OL * Ht: 6-8 * Wt: 300
* Extra points: Sirles, a second-team all-state pick as a sophomore and three years all-league, makes the All-Colorado team for the second year. Again, he is one of the main reasons Bears quarterback Zach Thenell again led the state in passing. An explosive blocker up front, Sirles also excels in basketball and track for the Bears.
* Favorite NFL player: Jake Long.
* Colleges: Nebraska.
SPECIALISTS
Taylor Accardi, Dakota Ridge
* Pos.: P * Ht: 6-2 * Wt: 180
* Extra points: For the past two seasons, Accardi has been one of the state's best punters. He averaged 42.6 yards per punt this season for the Eagles, with a long of 62 yards. Last season, he averaged 42.7 yards. Accardi also earned all-league honors as a defensive back (seven interceptions) and was the team's most valuable player on defense. He also was the league runner-up in track in the long and triple jumps last season.
* Favorite NFL player: Troy Polamalu.
* Colleges considered: Colorado, Colorado State, Colorado School of Mines.
Mitch Griebel, Heritage
* Pos.: KR * Ht: 6-1 * Wt: 175
* Extra points: Griebel, considered one of the most versatile players in the state, earns all-state honors for the second year, this time at kick returner. He averaged 24.7 yards a return and took back three for touchdowns. Griebel is one performer who seldom leaves the field, as he is the Eagles quarterback, where he passed for 1,291 yards and rushed for 691 this season and accounted for 18 touchdowns, and is a top defensive back (eight interceptions).
* Favorite NFL player: Vince Young.
* Colleges considered: California, Colorado, Stanford.
Parker Orms, Wheat Ridge
* Pos.: Athlete * Ht: 5-11 * Wt: 180
* Extra points: Orms turned in an all-around season for the ages. He earns all-state honors for the third season, twice as a defensive back, and this year at running back as the All-Colorado offensive player of the year. He was the West Metro League most valuable player and earned all-league honors at running back and safety. Orms rushed for 2,813 yards and scored 32 touchdowns in leading the Farmers to a 14-0 record and the 4A state title. He also had four interceptions and two fumble recoveries on defense and was one of the state's top kick returners.
* Favorite NFL player: Bob Sanders.
* College: Colorado.
R.C. Willenbrock, Cherry Creek
* Pos.: K * Ht: 6-0 * Wt: 170
* Extra points: Willenbrock exhibited one of the strongest prep legs in recent memory. He made 11-of-12 field-goal attempts (with a long of 50 yards) and was successful on 35-of-36 extra points this season. He will play lacrosse in college (he was a first-team all-state selection) but also plans to walk on as a kicker for the Dartmouth football team.
* Favorite NFL player: Mason Crosby.
