Protesters come to court
Published August 29, 2008 at 11:14 a.m.
About 25 protesters arrested in Monday's mass arrest came to court this morning expecting to be able to reset their court dates so they wouldn't have to stay in Denver until next week.
But the judge refused in most cases, saying the procedure had been set six months ago and he was going to follow it.
"These are all very minor offenses," said volunteer attorney Robert Corry. "This is a huge hardship on these people. It is just wrong what is happening to these people."
