Jamie Foxx talks about Barack Obama's speech.
INVESCO FIELD — Jamie Foxx, a longtime Barack Obama supporter, is at Invesco with a set of heavy-hitters, including Kanye West in a suite, waiting with the rest of the world for the acceptance speech. He stepped out for a moment to share some thoughts about the way Obama has inspired everyone from minority children to the entire world:
Before Obama, "everybody wanted to be a hip-hop star. Everyone wanted to be a basketball player. Everybody wanted to be a comic. Now you hear kids talking about they want to go to school. They want to go to Yale, they want to go to Harvard. That’s the greatest impact and now it’s beyond us. … he belongs to everybody now. When he goes to Germany 200,000 people show up. If you had the election right now overseas he’d win nine to one. As an American I’m glad to be able to share him with everyone."
