* The story: After completing a church mission, an American couple with some marital issues (and possibly a few skeletons in the closet) hops on the Trans- Siberian railway from Beijing to Moscow. When they strike up a friendship with a Spanish couple sharing their compartment, they unwittingly step into a deadly web of deceit involving drug trafficking and an ex-KGB operative who targets all four of the travelers.

* What the critics said: "Of course, the Americans-in- trouble-abroad theme is an old one, but except for a narrative thread or two that unravel near the very end, (director Brad) Anderson plays that note with as much smart, manipulative flair as he does the criminal and psychological motifs of this crackerjack suspense symphony," wrote Bob Strauss of The Los Angeles Daily News.
