Scouting report: San Francisco Giants

* Series history: The Giants lead 135-103 all-time, 80-39 in San Francisco and 48-26 at AT&T Park. The Rockies lost two of three there April 28-30 and are 4-5 against the Giants this season. The teams haven't played since June 12.

* Roster report: Pitchers Jonathan Sanchez (left shoulder), Noah Lowry (left forearm) and Merkin Valdez (right elbow) and second baseman Kevin Fransden (left Achilles) are on the disabled list.

* Quickly: The Giants have a season-best five-game winning streak and have won eight of their past 10 games. . . . The Giants are five strikeouts shy of 1,000 and bearing down on the franchise record of 1,089 set in 1998. . . . Closer Brian Wilson, who leads the National League with 35 saves and has only blown three save chances, has saved 60.3 percent of the Giants' 58 wins this season. . . . The Giants are last in the majors with 72 home runs. Team leader Aaron Rowand has hit 12.
