The show: There's Elvis footage and plenty more on CMT. This special details how Presley changed the gambling town and how it changed him, telling the tale through interviews and rare performance footage. Several artists perform Presley classics, including a Chris Isaak-and-Brandi Carlile duet on Love Me Tender, Three 6 Mafia with In the Ghetto and Chris Daughtry singing Suspicious Minds. Journalist Elizabeth Vargas hosts.
Thursday
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List

The show: Sharp-tongued Kathy Griffin wraps up the fourth season of D-List, spreading cheer to recuperating GIs at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with a special stand-up performance. Griffin, who has entertained U.S. forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, had both compassion and comedy in mind when she met and entertained at the hospital in Washington, D.C.

Outsiders Inn

The show: After vying against each other for a music contract in CMT's Gone Country earlier this year, the unlikely trio of Maureen McCormick (The Brady Bunch), Bobby Brown and Carnie Wilson are shipped off to Newport, Tenn., in a spinoff. The three run a secluded resort for a few weeks (enough to create fish-out-of- water reality-TV fodder, anyway).

The show: The new Style Network series looks at the week's highlights in everything from fashion to train-wreck television.

Man vs. Wild
* 8 p.m., Discovery
The show: Bear GryllsUP slogs through swamps in the Deep South of the U.S., fighting with an alligator, tangling with venomous snakes and catching a catfish with his bare hands. He also follows the trail of destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina.
Sunday
In Plain Sight
* 8 p.m., USA
The show: Season 1 ends with an episode called, A Fine Meth. Mary (Mary McCormack) fears for her job after Brandi's involvement with drug trafficking is revealed. Meanwhile, Stan and Marshall take on a special assignment.
