Tidbits: Beach unknowingly began her career in baby planning about six years ago when her first son was born. After becoming a pro at navigating the new world of parenthood, she began helping her friends with the myriad choices that come with being a new parent. Through referrals, word of her knowledge and expertise spread until "people I didn't know started calling me," said Beach, who is now the vice president of the National Baby Planner Association.

"I spent years researching what's the best gear, what's the safest, what you need and what you don't, and what breaks and what doesn't," Beach said. "I help families match their lifestyle with the gear that they will actually need for their baby and eliminate all the extras."

From car seats, adoption and breast-feeding to baby food and birth plans, Beach assists expecting families with anything and everything that can come up. She also has an extensive network of birth professionals.

"Most moms have been waiting their whole life for this, and they don't want someone to come in and tell them how to do it. But it's extremely overwhelming for them to sort through all the decisions and not a lot of moms have the time to research all their choices," Beach said. "I empower parents to make the best decisions for themselves."
