LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ It's been awhile since Nebraska coach Bo Pelini has been part of a team that lost three games in a row. He doesn't like the feeling.
The Cornhuskers will look to break out of their funk Saturday when they play at Iowa State.
Pelini hasn't been with a team that's lost three straight since he was linebackers coach with the NFL's New England Patriots in 1999. That team had two three-game losing streaks.
Pelini started coaching in the college ranks in 2003, and it wasn't until this year that one of his teams even lost two in a row.
Pelini said breakdowns in execution have caused the Huskers losses this year. If the Huskers had been more consistent, Pelini says they could easily be 5-1 right now.
