A woman accused of attempting to drown her three children in a bathtub was officially charged in court today.

Brenda Hernandez, 24, faces three charges of attempted first-degree murder. She remained silent as Judge Melvin Okamoto assigned her a public defender.

Police arrested Hernandez on Feb. 10 after she stormed out naked from her apartment in the 3100 block of West Mexico Avenue.

Police found three children, a 7-year-old boy and two girls, 3 and 2, standing wet in the bathroom, according to police.

Hernandez is being held on $150,000 bond.
