Semi jackknifes, SUV rolls on I-225; 4 hurt

Four people were transported to The Medical Center of Aurora this morning after their SUV rolled over on Interstate 225.

Mike Ackman, a spokesman for the Aurora Fire Department, said the four people were being treated for minor injuries.

Ackman said authorities received a call at 7:14 a.m. about the rollover on I-225 near East Mississippi Avenue that also involved a double-trailer semi.

He said the semi jackknifed on the freeway.

Additional details were unavailable this morning.

The condition of the semitruck driver was unknown.

Northbound I-225 between Mississippi and Alameda was expected to remain closed until about 10 a.m.
