Denver police are investigating the deaths of two elderly pedestrians who were hit by vehicles in separate incidents Thursday, officials said.

A 79-year-old woman was hit about 7 p.m. Thursday near South Havana Street and East Girard Street, said Sonny Jackson, Denver Police Department spokesman.

About a half-hour later, an 80-year-old man was hit in the 4700 block of West Colfax Avenue.

Neither of the victims' identities was available Friday.
