- Name: Daniel Libeskind
- Personal: Born in 1946 in Poland, Libeskind became an American citizen in 1965. Married to partner Nina Libeskind, with three children. Lives in Berlin, but soon to move to New York City.
- Education: Degrees from Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York City (1970), and a postgraduate degree at the School of Comparative Studies at Essex University, Colchester, England (1972). Served as director of the department of architecture at Cranbrook Academy of Art, outside Detroit.
- Professional: Established Architectural Studio Daniel Libeskind in 1990 in Berlin.
COMPLETED PROJECTS
- 1998: Felix Nussbaum Museum, in Osnabruck, Germany.
- 2001: Jewish Museum Berlin (the building itself opened to numerous visitors in 1999).
- 2002: Imperial War Museum North in Manchester, England.
PROJECTS IN THE WORKS
- Denver Art Museum wing: completion in 2006.
- World Trade Center site: design to rebuild the Trade Center site in New York City.
- Spiral Extension at the Victoria and Albert Museum, in London.
- Royal Ontario Museum: new addition in Toronto.

- Jewish Museum San Francisco: Commissioned in late 1990s, bogged down by fund raising and other issues.
